What Is Mold?
Mold is an airborne fungus that is everywhere in the world around us in the form of mold spores. These spores can only be seen under a microscope and do not cause an immediate threat to your home or health. However, when the spores are in the right environment they will quickly evolve into the harmful mold you are familiar with and spread throughout the area.
So, what does mold need to grow?
In order for mold to grow, there needs to be a source of moisture and organic material like wood, drywall, ceiling tiles, carpet, paper, cardboard, or natural fabrics. If the moisture continues, the mold will grow rapidly and spread throughout the affected area. Mold will grow in long, strands, which will appear to look fuzzy and it may appear in a handful of colors – blue, green, black, and grey. How To Identify Mold
