The Cleanup Process
Suicide and self-inflicted wound cleanup process has three stages:
- cleaning of biological matter
- sanitizing
- deodorizing

Suicide Statistics and Facts
According to the World Health organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) statistical data, 800,000 people die by suicide each year. While, there are even more people who attempt suicide. There is roughly one suicide for every 25 suicide attempts in the US. A suicide attempt is predictor of the eventual suicide placing the person in a risk group. Suicide is particularly common among people suffering depression and psychosis. It is also common among those aged 15-24: for this group, suicide is the second leading cause of death.

Law Enforcement in Case of Suicide
When a person dies as the result of a self-inflicted wound or suicide, it is important to notify the police right away. The police and the coroner come to the scene to determine the true manner of death and rule out accidental death or homicide.
After the investigation of the scene, the body is removed and transported to the local medical examiner for an autopsy. The family arranges the transportation of the remains from the exemaner’s office with the funeral home.
